Logo and Brochure design
During my sketch process for the Kauai project, I explored various lettering and illustration styles to find the perfect balance between modern and natural aesthetics. I began by sketching rough drafts of the logo with different font styles and illustrations, including various depictions of waves and whales. As I continued to refine the design, I experimented with different colors and arrangements until I found a logo that captured the essence of Kauai.

I explored several design concepts for the logo, including a whale tail, a rainbow, and a wave. I refined each design through digital drafts to see which one best captured the essence of Kauai. The whale tail design was simple and effective, conveying the island's connection to marine life and the ocean. The rainbow design was colorful and playful, reflecting the island's vibrant and diverse culture. The wave design was clean and modern, capturing the essence of Kauai's natural beauty.
After Sketching several design concepts for the Kauai logo, the refinement process led me to the most effective design - a wave diving into the letters, combined with clean typography and playful whale tail illustrations. This design was able to capture the essence of Kauai in a concise and visually appealing way. However, even with a promising concept, it was back to the drawing board for further tweaking and fine-tuning to ensure that the final product would represent Kauai in the best way possible.
To solve the design problem for the Kauai project, I combined a modern, clean typography with playful wave and whale tail illustrations. The sans-serif font I chose conveyed simplicity and sophistication while the hand-drawn illustrations added a touch of whimsy and captured the essence of Kauai. By carefully integrating the illustrations into the typography, I created a cohesive logo that was visually striking and reflective of the island's natural beauty. The combination of clean typography and playful illustration resulted in a concise logo that effectively represented the spirit of Kauai while appealing to a modern audience.
In the end, the wave design with the whale tail proved to be the perfect representation of Kauai's beauty and culture. The sketching process allowed me to experiment with different elements and refine the design until it truly captured the essence of the island. The wave diving into the waves inside the letters created a dynamic and engaging design that effectively reflected Kauai's connection to the ocean. The end result was a logo that was both modern and playful, and that effectively captured the spirit of Kauai. audience.
